Ash Brown is the acquisitions and electronic resources librarian for the University of Michigan Law Library and is primarily responsible for ordering, providing, and maintaining access to the Law Library’s online resources.

Ash received a BMus degree in Music Performance, cum laude, from The College of Wooster in 2006 and an MSI degree with specializations in both archives and records management and library and information services from the University of Michigan School of Information in 2008.

Prior to joining the Law Library in 2017, Ash served for eight years as the University of Michigan Library’s electronic resources cataloging librarian after spending a year at The Henry Ford’s Benson Ford Research Center cataloging archival land transportation periodicals. Between 2002 and 2008, Ash worked in the government documents and information centers at The College of Wooster and the University of Michigan.

Ash is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries, the American Library Association, and the Association for Library Collections and Technical Services Division.
